Pre-School

For some children, their first experience of being away from home will be when they join our setting and begin their journey into education. Others will already be familiar with the sights, sounds and routines of life in a setting. It is our responsibility to recognise the experiences each child brings, and to work in partnership with children, parents and carers as they enter this new and exciting chapter.

By creating a space that actively listens to the voice of the child, we begin to recognise and respond to the unique background and needs of each child, and children begin to understand their rights. Meaningful learning starts with skilful, observant and interested adults who provide authentic, engaging experiences in well-planned environments. We use our observations to plan experiences that are relevant to each child's interests.

We work very closely with a local authority teacher who makes sure our daily planning and focused tasks are of the highest standard.

We are registered with Bridgend County Borough Council to provide funded early education and childcare. Eligible families can access Flying Start childcare, which provides 12.5 hours during term time only for children living within a Flying Start catchment area, and the Childcare Offer for Wales, which provides funded childcare for eligible working parents for up to 39 weeks a year. Our team is always happy to help you check what your family may be entitled to.
